Lawsuit may slow Stillwater building

Butte Environmental Council, a Chico-based nonprofit group, is suing two federal agencies, claiming they did not do enough to protect wetland species present in portions of the proposed 673-acre park northeast of Redding Municipal Airport.

Ground Water Litigation Passes Major Hurdle

Judge Donald Cole Byrd of Glenn County Superior Court ruled today that Butte Environmental Council’s documents to augment the record are all admissible in a California Environmental Quality Act lawsuit against Glenn Colusa Irrigation District.
