Smart Growth Advocates

Smart Growth Advocates (SGA) promotes mindful development in respect to the 2030 Chico General Plan, which was created in 2011 to guide city managers and elected officials to help Chico prosper. The strategies used in this plan decrease greenhouse gas emissions, incentivize community engagement, and increases energy efficiency. Strategies include compact, walkable, infill, mixed-use development, redevelopment of transit corridors, improving air quality, and establishing resource efficiency through all walks of life.
